Kyle Alden Slone, age 23, of Waverly, Ohio, unexpectedly passed away at CAMC Teays Valley Hospital in West Virginia. Born November 25, 2002, in Chillicothe, Ohio, Kyle was the beloved son of Shannon Slone and Kimberly (Justice) Slone, who survive him. His loss leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him.

Kyle was recognized as a loyal friend, a dedicated son, and a devoted uncle. His proudest role, however, was being a loving father to his daughter, Emery “Emmy” May Slone. He shared his life and love with his partner, Clover Hope Smith, who was also a significant part of Emmy’s life. Together, Kyle and Clover brought joy, laughter, and adventure into Emmy’s world. Their bond was filled with love and unwavering devotion, and Kyle’s love for his daughter was evident in everything he did.

In addition to his daughter and partner, Kyle is survived by his parents, Shannon and Kimberly; his sisters, Faith Slone and Michelle Fisher; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides and his brother-in-law, Nic Fisher.

A graduate of Western High School, class of 2021, Kyle was passionate about his work and enjoyed a career as a warehouse shift supervisor at Pegasus Industries in Chillicothe. His interests included dirt bike racing, cars, gaming, and attending concerts. Kyle was the epitome of a “man’s man,” but he was also tender and affectionate with those he loved, never hesitating to express his feelings. His adventurous spirit, loyalty, and deep love for his family and friends will be remembered and cherished.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will follow at Evergreen Union Cemetery in Waverly. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a savings account at Atomic Credit Union in Emmy’s name, supporting her future in Kyle’s honor.

Kyle’s legacy is one of thrill-seeking, loyalty, and unwavering love. His memory will live on through his daughter’s laughter, his family’s love, and the lives he touched. His passing is a profound loss, but his spirit will forever inspire those who knew him.
