Celebrity Arrest, Shia LaBeouf Arrested Again in New Orleans Following Warrant Issuance

Shia LaBeouf was arrested again in New Orleans on Saturday, just one day after a new warrant for his arrest was issued by the police. The “Transformers” star was taken into custody at approximately 1:48 p.m. local time and booked on a battery charge, marking yet another legal setback for the actor. The recent arrest follows a series of legal and personal issues that have garnered media attention over the past months.
The new warrant for LaBeouf’s arrest was issued by the New Orleans Police Department on Friday. According to a source familiar with the case, the warrant is connected to the February 17 incident involving LaBeouf at a Mardi Gras celebration. The source told local news outlet WWL Louisiana that the warrant stems from an altercation at the popular New Orleans bar, R Bar, which reportedly involved a different victim than the one involved in LaBeouf’s previous arrest. The incident appears to be part of a broader pattern of controversial behavior exhibited by LaBeouf during Mardi Gras festivities.
LaBeouf’s recent legal troubles date back to an earlier arrest on February 17, when he was involved in a brawl at R Bar. He appeared in court on February 26 for that incident and was released after posting a $100,000 bond. Footage from the altercation showed LaBeouf shouting homophobic slurs and head-butting one of the men involved. According to police reports, LaBeouf called the men “f——s” and continued to hurl slurs even after law enforcement arrived on the scene. During the incident, LaBeouf reportedly exclaimed, “These f—–s put me in jail,” and claimed, “I’m a Catholic,” in a defiant manner. One of the men involved sustained a potentially dislocated nose, despite telling LaBeouf that he did not want to fight.
Despite being charged with two counts of simple battery, LaBeouf appeared undeterred after his release, engaging in provocative behaviors such as mocking his own arrest by stuffing jail paperwork into his mouth and dancing in public. He was also spotted later attempting to enter a church on Ash Wednesday and going for a jog in the city.
Following his latest arrest, LaBeouf gave an interview to Andrew Callaghan’s Channel 5, where he made some controversial statements. He admitted, “big gay people are scary to me,” and explained that his memory of the incident was limited, attributing his actions to being drunk during Mardi Gras. LaBeouf also acknowledged that he was “wrong for touching anyone” and expressed regret for his behavior.
In addition to his legal troubles, reports suggest that LaBeouf’s personal life has been tumultuous, with sources close to him claiming he tried to save his relationship with Mia Goth, though an alleged drinking problem may have contributed to their split. As the actor faces ongoing legal issues and public scrutiny, the entertainment world continues to watch his tumultuous journey unfold.
